What are you doing to attract Diversity and Women to work for your company?

The core demographics of the Hospitality Industry are rapidly changing, even at this very moment! There are more women moving into top hospitality management roles and diversity continues to change daily. Our goal is to educate companies and help support True Diversity as it is more than racial classification, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation.

Diversity encompasses the whole range of human experiences including but not limited to age, gender, racial classification, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic class, physical disabilities, national origin, geographical location, political orientation, physical size and appearance.

The Hospitality Industry employes over 8.8 million people -second only to the U.S. Government - and it is estimated that more than 1.6 million new workers will be needed in the coming decade to keep pace with the demand. What are your recruitment efforts doing to ensure that you are finding the best candidates and retaining them?

www.DiversityInHospitality.com and www.WomenInHospitality.com are two internet communities that were developed to support both Diversity and Women candidates, as well as employers, within the Hospitality field.

The job seekers are able to break down the barriers that have been upheld in the Hospitality Industry by actively searching through thousands of opportunities placed by companies who really believe in complete inclusion and retention of Diversity and Women. Job seekers are also encouraged to join in an extremely unique social networking opportunity (Facebook applications) to share stories of encouragement and gain wisdom from others who may have gone through similar challenges.

Employers are able to develop a key Inclusion recruitment plan by utilizing the resources within the sites-whether it be the articles written by experts in the field, placing a job posting, proactively searching through the resume database, attending job fairs, or by customizing a total recruitment plan with one of our experts.

Inclusion is not just a statement on a webpage-it's really an ongoing process of overcoming challenges and barriers and developing key practices to use within day to day operations of your business. Please do take a moment to look at both websites and think about how you can start Total Inclusion practices in your Hospitality Business.
